The Case of the Disappearing RT

Outside Sanderstead station on my version of London and South East, there used to be three buses, which I had put there: two red RTs and one green RT.

Some time ago, the green RT disappeared.

It will not be put back.

It shows up in shape viewer, but it will not be placed in the sim.

I am sure someone will know why, and I should be grateful if he would tell me.

Did you include the bus in the .ref file?

Yes, it is there all right and referring to the right shape file:

Static (
   Class           ( Bus )
   Filename        ( RT_Standard_Country.s )
   Align           ( None )

RT_Standard_Country.s
RT_Standard_Country.sd

A mystery.

OK...so the other possibility Roderic is - did you save the route after adding the bus? If you did then it is a mystery! I can only suggest you put the bus back in, save the route, exit and then open the route again to see if you still have the same problem.

Does each .sd file entry mirror each other? (with the exception of the shape xxxx.s line, of course)

Thanks, everyone. Yes, there must have been something wrong with the sd file. I copied one of the other bus sd files and substituted the appropriate shape and it has reappeared along with half a dozen others from my attempts to restore it. All is now well: there are two red RTs and one green one. All I need now is for someone to tell me that country area buses did not go to Sanderstead station.

Hi Roderic,
Of the 2 it's more likely that the Red RT's are wrong for Sanderstead than the Green RT,you would have both London Transport and Green Line buses going through Sanderstead to and from Reigate.

Thanks a lot. I will remove the red RTs to be on the safe side.
I have two versions of the car spawner: London and country. If I forget to change over I arrive at Uckfield with convoys if red buses going over the level crossing - very embarrassing.

I have the same problem with MEP if I want Eastern Counties buses for Peterborough in the car spawner they show up in London as well,not so bad going the other way though as Yorkshire Traction were red as well,trouble is Lincoln and Skegness as Lincolnshire buses were Green.
