Activity help needed

Hi,

I'm writing an activity as part of a mega pack on the KWVR V2 route. My AI and Tsr's won't show up in my AE at all. Why is this.

All other acts are fine.

If you can't see the AI trains in AE, the most probable cause is that there's an error in the Registry. However, that is not a place mere mortals should go to, unaccompanied!! The safest way out is to re-install MSTS from the CDs. Backup your current MSTS folder to somewhere very safe, then uninstall your current MSTS - don't forget to check that the root folder has gone, otherwise delete it - then re-install MSTS. When done, copy your backed-up MSTS folder on to the newly created one, allowing overwrites. One important point - make sure you re-install MSTS to EXACTLY the same location as the old one was in.

A Complete re-install would put me out of any acts for at least two to three months.

If you follow the instructions in my last message, it won't take very long!

The time it will take will be :
Time to copy your existing MSTS folder somewhere safe + time to delete MSTS + time to install MSTS + time to copy from the backup = that's it! I would think less than an hour, depending on the size of your MSTS folder.

The only alternative is to edit the Registry, but I don't recommend you try that

You're quite right - that is a much quicker way, but if you're not comfortable delving into the Registry, one slip and Windows is toast!!
