Route Description =
An MSTS Route available to download as noted above.
The following is an extract from the SDTrains’ readme attached to UKTS 25649.
“This started off as a repair for Jon Bilton's Lincoln project, which seems to have suffered from a few TDB crashes and hasty repairs which have left the original Lincoln and District 70's TDB (UKTS 25516) broken. Some of the signals were broken, which I seem to have managed to fix, at least in terms of TDB and TIT contents. I have made several TDB fixes around Lincoln.
Pyewipe Junction is now fully navigable, and so is the old LC&ECR line through to Shirebrook known as the “Dukeries Route”, albeit mainly singled, due to the UK1 layout constraints, and sadly the Dukeries Junction is depicted 'upside down' in the UK1L version.
During the BR era, the line was actually singled at the Fledborough Viaduct and the Pyewipe Junction access, with double track between Skellingthorpe and Clifton, and was also doubled from High Marnham westwards. The line was signalled at Skellingthorpe, Clifton on Trent and High Marnham with a motley assortment of color lights and semaphore.
If you wish to run a passenger service across this line (Lincoln - Shirebrook) then a basic activity is provided, but if you want the steam version, a 1947 timetable is available online at www.timetableworld.com.
The Chesterfield-Lincoln service was effectively ended in 1951 following the closure of the Bolsover Tunnel. The regular passenger schedule across the remainder was ended in 1955, but summer services from Nottingham to Mablethorpe and Skegness continued to call at Edwinstowe and Ollerton into the 1960s.
I have repackaged Jon's original upload with my fixes and additions to save any further confusion, so UKTS 25516 is not needed in conjunction with this pack. The original Steam Era Mideast installation is needed.”
Activities are included in the downloaded files, but stock has to be downloaded.
SDTrains has informed us that another version may be available in the near future.
