MT Springfield
Route Name = MT Springfield
Route Author = Ian Jenkins for Making Tracks
Route Location = Fictional UK
Route Mileage = TBA
Route Era = fairly modern to match MT's BR and later era stock
Route Source = UKTS File library - MT Springfield also available from UKTS CD Ordering (current cost is £4.80 which includes one month’s premium UKTS membership)
Additional files required to be installed = UK Finescale (download version only) - Making tracks recommend the use of MSTSBin with all their routes, for some of their routes it is mandatory.
Route Description =
MT Springfield is a fictional route, designed by Ian Jenkins of MakingTracks and is a freeware 'add-on' for the MSTS trainsim community to enjoy.
The route is highly detailed and is loosely based on rural North Kent, with a hint of East Midlands about it! The route includes a small number of stations, including a couple of 'below ground level' ones and plenty of diverse scenery for taking screenshots - the route was actually first designed on a smaller scale for this purpose! It is also a good route for people to practice activity building too! As well as stations for a local passenger service, there are also other areas which will find much use - a locomotive depot, a modern EMU test facility with test track, oil terminal, riverside wharf, freightliner terminal and army depot.
The route contains plain track, 3rd rail and overhead catenary sections and uses the excellent UKFS (UK Finescale) track.
